Thank you for your insight on these two very important passages of scripture. I like the way the Amplified Bible translates these verses.

Healing is not a promise it is a “fact”. Just as salvation is not a promise it is a “fact”. Jesus said it very well, “It is finished”. God has done all He is going to do about healing and salvation. Now it is up to us to accept what He has provided for us.

Keep the podcast coming they are a really great. I also enjoy your blog postings.

I heard Joe Morris a number of years ago at Living Word Church in Dayton. Thanks for the update on him.

    Larry,

Thanks for the comments. We’re still loosening our collars just a bit on the podcasts (not a natural thing for a lawyer to do).

Just a note. We received an email asking us if we knew that Isaiah 53.4 was originally written in Hebrew. Yes we do. The title of the podcast is a word-play on Matthew 8.17 which is a God-inspired Greek translation of Isaiah 53.4.

    Peter,
I appreciate the clarity you brought to this issue. I grew up being taught that Isaiah 53 spoke of physical healing, but I always had a nagging doubt that maybe it just pertained to spiritual healing. Matthew 8:17 puts my doubts to rest. Thank you for bringing this to light.

    Carrie,

Thanks for listening and I am happy that we put that question to rest.
