A Resurrection-Centered Faith and Consciousness
A few weeks ago, I mentioned that our podcast, Resurrection Consciousness, was leaving the rest of our essays and podcasts in the dust. Today, the podcast ranks number one on our top ten list. In that podcast, I preached on the fact that we, as Christians, should have a resurrection-centered faith and consciousness. In it I tie together Paul’s “word of the cross” in 1 Corinthians 1.8 with his “without a resurrection we’re still all in our sins” in 1 Corinthians 15.
Recently, the popular Christian blogger, Adrian Warnock, asked the question of whether modern-day Christianity, with its cross-centered theology, underemphasizes the resurrection. The answer is: you bet it does. You can read Adrian’s post here.
After the first of the year, I’ll plan to do a series on The Blood and the Resurrection which should flesh out more of the meaning behind Paul’s “without a resurrection we’re still in our sins” statement.
