Theme Changes Yet Again

After working on some photography with Photoshop and looking at the subsequent prints, I decided to go about changing the theme on the site yet again.

There is a great deal of difference between looking at a photograph on an LCD screen and one that has been printed out. The printed version reflects the ambient light and is easier on the eyes. The LCD is back-lit, which might look good at first, but it becomes a strain.

One of the more prominent problems of moving text to e-books has been the matter of these back-lit LCD screens. You really can’t read more than 20 or so pages without your eyes yelping for help. The recent e-readers, like the Amazon Kindle, attempt to alleviate the problem by having screens that reflect the ambient light rather than having the text lit from the back.

Most websites are set where the background is set to FFFFFF, all-out bright white. Like the problems encountered with the first e-readers, you can read the sites for a little while, but then you feel the strain on your eyes. I decided to try to formulate a theme that is a little easier on the eyes. Yes, it’s darker, but since my posts are a little longer than most, maybe it will alleviate a little eye strain.

But, who knows, it may all change next week.

This is better than the black background.
